Brighton Pier

From those classic arcades, to soft-play, and side-shows the Palace Pier offers up the perfect seaside day out. Grab yourself some hot donuts, a Mr Whippy, or even a hot dog, it doesn’t get anymore classic than this. Coming to life in 1823, the pier has changed massively over the years - you can even brace yourself for a woo-hoo moment on the many fairground rides.

Standing 162m high, take a moment to scale this observation tower, giving the best view in Brighton! From the South Downs to over the English Channel, see if you can spot the famous Rampion Wind Farm…
The Painting Pottery Cafe

Looking for something a little more interactive, that the whole family can get involved with? Head over to the Painting Pottery Cafe on North Road and get your arts and crafts skills flowing. Pick a bowl, plate or mug and create a fancy design. With refreshments and plenty of cakes on hand, no one will go hungry.
Volks Electric

Head down to Brighton’s iconic seafront and soak up all of the glorious scenes in style by riding the 135 year old electric railway. The oldest running electric railway in the world, it’s a great way of getting to know this part of Brighton - your little ones will love it!
Mini Golf by Kemptown

There’s a rumble in the jungle with this adventure golf course! Choose between the treetop or caveman course - or for all of the fun why not try both? With food, drinks and a gorgeous terrace area, you can spend the whole day having fun and creating those all important summer holiday memories.
Bluebell Railway

Travel through the beautiful vistas of Sussex, on the Bluebell Railway. Having operated as a locomotive since 1960, this wonderful traditional steam train can ignite the children in all of us! Sit back and enjoy the ride or learn all about the science and history of the industrial age - you can also get up close and personal to what it’s like working on a steam train… the option is yours!
Wakehurst
50 minute drive from the hotel
Born from Kew Gardens, explore this wild botanic garden that lives in the heart of Sussex. With over 500 acres of biodiversity, including Bloomers Valley, the Himalayan Glade and even the Millenium seed bank, there’s lots to see and plenty to get up to! Be sure to check out the Tree Trunk Trek with your little ones too!
Sheffield Park
50 minute drive from the hotel
We love a National Trust day out - and this one isn’t to be missed! With an expanse of gardens, with bridges and lakes to the Walk Wood where you can try your hand at spotting some local wildlife, get lost as you soak in the gorgeous scenery. With the Coach House Cafe and summer sketching activity on the cards, it makes for the perfect day out into the Sussex countryside.
Hove Lagoon watersports

Looking for an active day of splashing about? Be sure to head on over to Hove Lagoon where all the family can get involved! From taster days to activity weeks, the kids can also challenge themselves with taught courses in sailing and wakeboarding. If you fancy, there is also the opportunity of paddle-boarding and windsurfing on the cards!
