A weekend fit for royalty

Here at The Grand, we love a long weekend; all the more time to explore our colourful city of Brighton or simply pop over to the beautiful beach and soak up some rays by the sea. With the Queen’s jubilee on the way, we’re en route to a platinum weekend jam packed full of extra celebrations. This is your cordial invitation to join us for an unforgettable weekend.

Grand celebrations
In honour of Her Majesty’s record-setting reign, we’re not doing anything by halves. Join us for a fanfare of red, white and blue as we commemorate this weekend in the only way that we know best; Grand.

The VIP treatment (Very Important Paws)
In honour of the jubilee, we’re spreading the VIP treatment to your furry friends too. Already a dog-friendly hotel, we’re giving long-distance relatives of the Queen’s corgis the opportunity to stay for free - just make sure you let our team know that you’ll be bringing along a Corgi at the time of booking!

Time for a spot of tea
It’s certainly not a jubilee celebration without Victoria Sponge and that classic cup of Earl Grey (perhaps even a pour of our Grand blend!). Join us in our iconic Victoria Terrace, the perfect spot for a royal affair. You can sit back and enjoy our award-winning afternoon tea experience and then some. With Union Jacks and plenty of extra special additions, you won’t want to miss it.

Raising a glass (or two)
We’ll certainly be raising a glass throughout this weekend, and we hope you’ll be joining us in this endeavour! In honour of that, our expert team of mixologists have put together two exclusive celebratory cocktails that incorporate the divine tastes of the limited edition Buckingham Palace Gin. Head to our Victoria Bar to enjoy a Royal 75 or perhaps even our aptly named Queen’s Tipple. Plus, as always, we have fizz fit for a Queen on hand with a wonderful selection of Sussex sparkling wine - and even a tasting flight from Ridgeview.

Lighting up our Grand facade
If you're strolling along Brighton's beautiful seafront over the Jubilee weekend, be sure to look out for our fabulous Victorian facade all dressed up in Royal purple for the occasion! You can spot our celebratory lighting after sunset on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Street party ready
Whether you’re decking out your garden in the appropriate amount of bunting to celebrate with friends or you’re getting involved in a fabulously patriotic street party, be sure to come prepared with one of our takeaway picnics! Choose from our classic or vegan picnic selection or try our takeaway afternoon tea, adorned with all of those jubilee extras!

What’s going on around Brighton?
It’s safe to say that down here on the south coast, we don’t need much of an excuse for a party, and you can certainly rely on Brighton to host events that are nothing short of extraordinary. Here’s just a few of our top picks for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations:
