Work Experience & Internships

Investing in our future talent is key to our success here at The Grand and an important part of our people culture.

Our work experience programmes have engaged hundreds of students, many of whom have returned following their studies, for full time employment. Specifically in 2018, we welcomed 62 students in 2018 from 15 local schools/colleges and 5 international hotel schools.

We also foster local partnerships with numerous Community Groups to engage talent and provide opportunities for those who may not have considered a career in this industry.

Work experience placements are offered across our operational departments including Kitchen, Food and Beverage Service, Front of House, and Spa.. Students can expect to experience a taste of what its like to work in their chosen areas of hospitality and guest service.

Our HEADWAY Graduate Programme offers a fantastic opportunity to ignite your future in hospitality whilst working in an independant and progressive business that puts individuals and people at the heart of its values. We are keen to develop and inspire passionate and ambitious individuals who are committed to a career in this sector. 

What's our offer to you?

We offer two 18 month programmes, a Food and Beverage Headway Programme and a Rooms Division Headway Programme.

Each programme is bespoke to you and allows you to explore key areas of hotel management within your chosen discipline.

What does a successful application look like?

High levels of passion, energy and ambition

A desire to be and work with the best

The resilience to work hard, learn from the bottom to be able to then lead by example, to your colleagues and become a role model of a Grand leader
